GEORGETOWN, Texas -- Texas Lutheran Women's Soccer finished its 2019 season with a 2-0 loss Friday in the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Championship quarterfinal against the University of Dallas.
After a scoreless first half, Elisa Duran scored for the Crusaders in the 68th minute.
Alyssa Mencacci added the insurance goal in the 85th minute.
The match was played at Southwestern University in Georgetown, Texas.
TLU finished the year at 7-9-2 overall. Dallas improved to 10-6-2 and advanced to the SCAC semifinal to face Trinity University.
Dallas out-shot TLU 13-10 overall and had an 8-6 edge in shots on goal.
Dallas knocked out TLU in the quarterfinal round for a second consecutive year.
Samantha Martinez took three shots for TLU, and Jessica Acosta collected two shots. Both of Acosta's shots were on target.
