RICHARDSON, Texas - The Austin College volleyball team fell 3-1 at the University of Texas-Dallas on Tuesday night, bringing the team's overall record to 8-11 on the year.

The Comets got out to a hot start, taking the first set 25-12 and adding a 25-18 win in the second set before Austin College rallied with a 27-25 victory in set three. However, UTD closed things out in the fourth set with a 25-13 win to clinch the match. The 'Roos hit just .076 as a team in the match, and UTD used 13 service aces to help them to the win. Shelbi Cook and Hannah Arbaugh each had nine kills to lead Austin College, while Brooklyn Talley and Allison Pierce both had 15 assists. Talley also paced Austin College with 20 digs, while Pierce had 16 and Arbaugh and Mari Prazak had 15 apiece. Cassidy Watson chipped in 10 digs, while Caitlin Mahoney and Karson Dykes had seven kills each.
