UD Women's Soccer Winning Streak Snapped

All good things must end. With a winning streak at three games, the Lady Crusaders couldn’t keep it going against a tough Southwestern University Pirates team. With the score only 1-0 in the Pirates’ favor at the half, UD was hoping to capitalize and get back in the game. Instead Southwestern rattled off three goals in the last frame for the 4-0 victory. Senior forward/defender Lindsay Arend led UD with five shots (three on goal), and senior keeper Jennifer Boryca (Piqua, OH/Piqua H.S.) had nine saves in 90 minutes.

Next up for the 3-3 Crusaders is another tough game against the Trinity University Tigers on Sunday, September 20. The game starts at 12:00pm.
