Other individual top-10 placements in the pool came from senior Selma Jukic (sixth in the 400 IM), freshman Kate Brush (sixth in the 200 butterfly) and freshman Millie Benkert (eighth in the 100 backstroke).

Chang, Brush and Jukic joined freshman Maddie Heynen on the 10th-place 400 freestyle relay team, while Jukic and Heynen swam with freshmen Clara Sato and Peyton Wright on the 200 freestyle relay squad that also finished 10th.

In diving, freshman Peyton Classon finished fifth in each event and collected an NCAA Division III "B" qualifying score of 400.6 points on the 1-meter board. Senior Riley Wadehra, along with juniors Jennifer Middleton, Lani Flagg and Zivia Berkowitz, all placed in the top-10 in each event.

Junior Walker Martin finished seventh in the 200 freestyle, while sophomore Cole Thumann was ninth in the 400 IM. Those two joined senior Eric Dallesasse and freshman Topher Shepherd to place sixth in the meet-closing 400 freestyle relay race and swam with sophomores Reese Gawronski and Will Floyd to an 11th-place result in the 200 freestyle relay.

Reigning SCAC Diver of the Week Mac O'Brien put together another impressive weekend of diving. The freshman finished second in the 3-meter event with 296.05 points and third in the 1-meter with 283.20 points.

The University of Chicago won the men's meet with 789 points, followed by Lewis University (529), DePauw University (412), Valparaiso University (361), Illinois Institute of Tech (330) and CC (250).

The women's team returns to action on Saturday Dec. 7 by hosting a dual meet against CSU-Pueblo at Schlessman Natatorium, beginning at noon, while the men are idle until both teams compete at the Orange Bowl Classic in Key Largo, Fla., on Friday, Jan. 3.

What Head Coach Anne Goodman James Said
"Mid-season meets are a great opportunity for fast swimming and competitive diving. Our divers have needed some strong competition, and they got that here."

"With just a minor two-day rest for the swimmers, we were able to turn in some impressive times, including several season bests and a few lifetime-best performances."

"With prelims and finals, it's a lot of racing in a few days. This meet was a great balance of strong teams from all three divisions for outstanding competition, and still a realistic opportunity of making the finals. We raced bravely and showed a lot of grit."
