Kiran Singh scored twice in his Colorado College debut and his younger brother Sajjan notched a goal in his first collegiate game to lead the CC men's soccer team to a 4-1 victory over Albion College Friday afternoon at Washburn Field.
After a lengthy lightning delay, the coaches agreed to end the game with 16:39 remaining in the second half.
In the 16th minute, CC goalkeeper
Keller Mochel sent a ball deep into Albion's end that was collected by
Jackson Silverstein. After a quick move to the inside, Silverstein sent a perfect cross to
Kiran Singh, who had an open net for the game's first tally.
Singh, a sophomore transfer from Haverford College, then saw his younger brother, freshman Sajjan, score in the 26th minute for a 2-0 lead.
Griffin Meyer took a shot from 25 yards out that was sailing wide of the far post, but
Sajjan Singh hustled down the left side past an Albion defender and slid while sending the ball into the net.
Kiran Singh notched his second of the game to make it 3-0 in the 57th mminute when Skyler Stark Ragsdale touched a pass from
Sam Bermingham to Singh, who scored from 15 yards out.
Silverstein closed the scoring in the 72nd minute after Meyer's shot was blocked and the ball went right to Silverstein in the right side of the box.

Head Coach
Scott Palguta Said:
"We have to be pleased with the result of this opening game. Anytime you score four goals in 70 minutes, it's a good day."
"I'm pleased for the Singh brothers, who were able to start their CC careers with a bang."
"We had a lot of questions to ask during our brief preseason, but I think we are starting to get some answers. We were strong defensively from back to front. Freshmen
