Sherman, Texas – The Centenary baseball team recorded a doubleheader sweep in Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference play over the Austin College Kangaroos on Saturday, 13-0 in seven innings in game one and 6-1 in game two to extend its season-high winning streak to five games at Sherman High School.

The Diamond Gents (21-13, 12-7 SCAC) aim for the series sweep on Sunday at Noon against the 'Roos (6-30, 2-16 SCAC). Sunday's game will be played on the Austin College campus at Baker Field. Inclement weather earlier in the week in Sherman caused changes to the original schedule and the playing site as the series was set to begin on Friday evening. The series concludes at Noon on Sunday.

Centenary clinched a berth in next weekend's SCAC Championship in Cleburne, Texas on Saturday. Centenary continue its dominance in the all-time series as the Maroon and White now lead 32-2 and have won eight games in a row since their last loss on April 17, 2019.
