Young Tigers no match for No. 10 Metro State

Box Score Junior forward Ian Rewoldt scored a game-high 17 points, but Colorado College couldn't keep up with Division II Metro State College and dropped a 71-43 decision in Denver on Tuesday night.

The young Tigers hung with the No. 10-ranked Roadrunners early in the game and held a 10-8 lead after sophomore guard Ryan Milne sank a pair of free throws 6:03 into the game.

That's when Metro State shifted gears and went on a 25-8 run that turned into a 33-16 lead with 2:36 remaining in the first half.
The Tigers were within 13 points when freshman forward Chris Lesnansky scored two of his 14 points 1:48 into the second half, but the Roadrunners outscored CC 34-11 during the next 14:43 to put the game away.

Jonathan Moore paced MSC's balanced offense with 14 points, while Tyler Cooper went 4-for-4 from behind the arc to finish with 12 points.

Sophomore forward Daniel Webb and Rewoldt led the Tigers with six rebounds.

CC dropped to 0-3, with all three losses coming against opponents from the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference. Metro State improved to 5-0.

Colorado College is idle until Dec. 2 when it opens Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference play against Southwestern University.
