KERRVILLE, Texas – The No. 16/14 Tiger men's golf team finished third at this year's Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Championships after shooting a three-round total of 897 at the two-day event that was hosted by Schreiner University at the Riverhill Country Club.

Trinity finished six shots behind hosting Schreiner in second and 13 shots back of conference champion University of St. Thomas. Southwestern University finished fourth, followed by the University of Dallas, Texas Lutheran University, and Centenary College.

Senior Daniel Nunez (Los Angeles, Calif. / Loyola) and first-year Carter Code (Calgary, Alberta, Canada / Manning) both earned First Team All-SCAC honors after finishing in the top five individually. Nunez was tied for second with a three-round total of 219 (64-76-79), breaking the SCAC single-round record by one stroke after opening the tournament with a 64 on Monday. Code wrapped up fifth place by shooting a 221 (71-75-75) that included today's three-over 75 during which he carded a team-best four birdies – including three on the back nine to play one-over after the turn. Nunez was a Second Team All-SCAC honoree in 2021.

Sophomore Jacob Mason (Westminster, Colo. / Holy Family) was tied for 11th and matched Code's four birdies and round three total of 75. He shot 224 (74-75-75) for the tournament, sparked by playing the front nine with an even-par score of 36. Junior Jack McKay (Spring, Texas / Klein Oak) finished with a 234 (80-76-78) total score and was 24th individually.

First-year Aiden Marlow (San Antonio, Texas / Churchill) and junior Giorgio Gianoulis (Salt Lake City, Utah / Rowland Hall) rounded out Trinity's contingent at this year's SCAC Championships. Marlow shot 246 (84-82-78) to finish 31st and was the only Tiger to improve his second in each round. Gianoulis finished with a score of 248 (84-78-84) to tie for 32nd.
