Trammell (pictured), but a fresh group off of LaGrange’s
bench brought the game even for the seventh time 53-53 with seven
minutes left.
First-year Katelyn Bartell teamed up with Seagraves to push the
Pirates ahead for good as the duo made five buckets over the next
three minutes, putting Southwestern up by eight with four minutes
remaining.
Senior Jessica Herbst nailed a three-pointer and Trammell’s
free throws down the stretch sealed the deal for Southwestern,
giving them the 76-68 victory.
