Despite a double-double from senior forward
CooXooEii Black, the Colorado College men's basketball dropped a 73-67 result at Lewis & Clark College on Saturday night to close out its two-game road trip to the Pacific Northwest.
Black finished with 13 points and 12 rebounds for the Tigers, who played back-to-back games for the first time this season.
Sophomore forward
Isaac Zachem also scored 13 points, which matched his career high first set last year against Centenary College on Jan. 4.
CC trailed by six points a little more than seven minutes into the game, but rallied to build a 34-27 lead after
Eric Jonas hit a jumper with 27 seconds remaining in the first half.
Sophomore guard
Scott Cunningham gave the Tigers a 57-55 lead when he knocked down a jumper with 6:32 to go, however Christian Pitcher splashed one of his four three-pointer 29 seconds later to put L&C ahead to stay.
Colorado College was within two points when sophomore guard
Jack McRoskey scored with 2:24 to play, but the Pioneers scored the final five points of the game at the free throw line to secure the victory.
The Tigers dropped to 0-2, while Lewis & Clark won its season opener.

Scott Cunningham scored 10 points and dished out a pair of assists.
Eric Jonas finished with nine points and five rebounds.
Charlie Rounaghi had a game-high four assists.

Christian Pitcher hit four three-pointers and led the Pioneers with 19 points.
Zeke Crawford scored 13 points and pulled down six rebounds.
Kody Kennedy scored 12 points and grabbed a team-best six rebounds.
