CONWAY, Ark. – The McMurry University women's and men's swimming teams both finished in third place at the 54th annual Hendrix Relays at the Bob Courtway Pool.
The War Hawks women's squad had several top finishes in the event. McM was second in the 300 yard backstroke (3:16.75 –
Kelsey Hill,
Kaylee Cook,
Robyn Remschel), the 400 medley relay (4:30.02 – Remschel,
Zandria Rodriguez,
Monica Flores, Hill), the 200 freestyle relay (1:48.29 – Hill, Cook, Rodriguez, Remschel), and the 400 freestyle relay (3:58.14 – Hill, Cool, Rodriguez, Remschel).
The McM took top honors in the 300 backstroke (Kakai Love,
Andrew Jarrett,
Jerick Pena) in a time of 3:04.28). The War Hawks also earned runner-up finishes in the 800 freestyle relay (8:37.61 – Love,
Austin Gombas,
Tyler Gentry,
Dany Bakai), the 200 freestyle relay (1:38.59 – Love, Jarrett, Gombas, Pena), and the 400 freestyle relay (3:30.50 – Love, Jarrett, Gombas, Pena).
