Jackson Silverstein and
Samson Heyer each struck for their first goal of the season to help lead Colorado College to a 3-0 non-conference victory at East Texas Baptist University on Sunday afternoon.
Silverstein scored the only goal the Tigers needed in the fourth minute. The sophomore midfielder was on the receiving end of a long diagonal ball from senior defender
Alexander Makic and found the net with a header into the lower left corner.
CC doubled its lead in the 66th minute when sophomore midfielder
Miles Montgomery beat his defender 1v1, got to the end line and pulled a low cross back to Heyer, who slid through the six-yard box and guided the ball past goalkeeper Justin Groves.
Montgomery extended his team-leading point and assist streaks to four games. Â
Senior midfielder
Robert Malone capped the weekend when he put his penalty shot in the upper right corner after junior midfielder
Hayden Cogswell was taken down in the box in the 75th minute.

Daniel Krueger for the team lead.
Thirteen different Tigers now have scored at least one goal this season.
Colorado College outscored its two opponents 7-0 this weekend and im.proved t0 8-3-0.
"It was a good weekend for the guys," head coach
Scott Palguta said. "It's always nice to see the ball hit the back of the net and we spread it around pretty well this weekend. It was great to see different players getting involved in the final third of the field."
The Tigers finished with a 17-5 advantage in total shots and a 10-3 advantage in corner kicks.
Keller Mochel made one save while recording his seventh clean sheet of the season and the 10th of his career. The junior goalkeeper wasn't tested until midway through the 87th minute when Silas Sangano put a shot on frame.
The native of Carpinteria, Calif., lowered his season goals-against average to 0.89 and raised his saves percentage to .767.
Groves finished with nine saves for ETBU, which slipped to 4-4-1.
CC returns home next week to host Austin College on Friday, Oct. 5, and the University of Dallas on Sunday, Oct. 7.
