SHREVEPORT, LA -- The Texas Lutheran women's soccer team dropped their conference road match vs Centenary College on Sunday afternoon, falling 2-1 to the Ladies at Mayo Field in Shreveport, Louisiana.
The Ladies scored twice in the first half, but a goal in the 80th minute from Anna Bourbonnais (Woodlands/The Woodlands) made for an intense final ten minutes. The Bulldogs move to 4-9 (1-3 SCAC) with the loss, while the Ladies move to 3-9-2 (1-2-2 SCAC).
The Bulldogs were aggressive throughout finishing the match with a 15-7 advantage in shots, - 9 shots to 2 in the second half - and a 5-3 advantage in shots on goal, but the advantage didn't yield the desired result of a second half comeback.
The Bulldogs return to Gustafson Field this weekend for a matchup with the University of Dallas on Friday at 5 PM. All streaming and stat links can be found on tlubulldogs.com.
