Southwestern sweeps Centenary to push win streak to 14 on Sunday

SHREVEPORT, La. – The Southwestern University women's tennis team cruised to a 9-0 win against Centenary on Sunday.

The Pirates increased their winning streak to 14 matches and finished the regular season with a 19-4 mark.

Southwestern did not surrender a game in the contest.

Maranda Kahl and Nicole Wilson teamed up to win their 14th consecutive match with an 8-0 victory at No. 2 doubles. The pair improved to 19-2 on the year.

Kahl also led the way in singles action, as she won her 11th straight contest by 6-0, 6-0 scores. Emilie Moeller won her ninth straight match with a 6-0, 6-0 triumph at No. 4 singles.

The Bucs will head to the SCAC Championships April 22-24 in Kerrville.
