GEORGETOWN, Texas - The 39th-ranked Southwestern men's tennis team suffered a 7-2 setback at the hands of No. 4 Middlebury on Sunday at the Marvin D. Henderson Sr. Tennis Courts.
The Pirates (10-4) picked up one point in doubles competition, as Nickoloz Snovely and Grant Gideon captured an 8-4 victory at the top spot.
Alexis Dimanche tallied the only singles win. The first-year posted a three-set victory (6-4, 1-6, 7-6 [7-4]) at the second position.
Southwestern will continue its home stand Wednesday versus 19th-ranked Gustavus Adolphus. First serve is scheduled for 5 p.m.
