GEORGETOWN, Texas – Southwestern fell 7-0 to the top team in the nation, Trinity University, on a gusty afternoon Sunday.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- With the wind at their backs in the first half Trinity posted four goals in the frame to lead 4-0 at the break.
- Back-to-back goals from Kim Polasek extended TU's lead and Abby Tisdale scored with 10 minutes to play for Trinity's seventh goal of the match.
- Southwestern's opportunities were few and far between early, but as the match wore on SU continued to push and had scoring opportunities late in the game that they were unable to capitalize on.

Southwestern falls to 7-8-1 on the year and 6-3-1 in the SCAC after the loss while the Tigers remain unbeaten at 16-0-1 overall and 11-0 in the conference. The Pirates next host Friday's postponed match against Schreiner (9-4-3, 6-2-2) on Tuesday at 6 p.m.
