CONWAY, Ark. - The Austin College women's soccer team suffered their first loss of the 2023 campaign on Friday night, as the 'Roos hit the road to take on Hendrix and fell 2-0 to the Warriors. The 'Roos are now 1-1-1 overall on the year.

CONWAY, Ark. - The Austin College women's soccer team suffered their first loss of the 2023 campaign on Friday night, as the 'Roos hit the road to take on Hendrix and fell 2-0 to the Warriors. The 'Roos are now 1-1-1 overall on the year.

The match was scoreless through halftime, as neither team was able to create many scoring chances with the Warriors holding a 5-2 edge in shot attempts. It wasn't until the 60th minute of action that Hendrix managed to put one home, with Clara Sullivan tallying to make it a 1-0 game. That remained the score until the 75:16 mark, when Parker Barrow put another in the back of the net for the Warriors to make it 2-0, and Austin College was unable to mount a late comeback.

The Warriors finished the game with an 11-6 shot advantage, though the 'Roos put five of their six shots on target. Kenedie Lane made four saves for the 'Roos, while Elisabeth Caton Nelson stopped five shots for Hendrix.
