HOUSTON – The Celts of the University of St. Thomas won for the fourth time in six matches as they defeated Mary Hardin–Baylor 7-2 on Saturday.

With the win, the Celts (4-2) recorded their first two-match winning streak in the first-year program's history.

UST fell behind 2-1 after doubles play, with only Juanrodrigo Lopez and Quashi "Ayo" Philips winning their flight one doubles match 8-1. The Celts recovered by taking all six singles matches.

The Celts return to action Sunday, March 8, when they face perennial Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference power Trinity in a home match. First serves are scheduled for 10 a.m.
