The Centenary baseball team swept the Southwestern University Pirates in a Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference doubleheader on Friday, winning game one by a score of 5-4 in 10 innings and 9-6 in game two at Rockwell Family Field.

Georgetown, Texas – The Centenary baseball team swept the Southwestern University Pirates in a Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference doubleheader on Friday, winning game one by a score of 5-4 in 10 innings and 9-6 in game two at Rockwell Family Field.
The series between the Diamond Gents (13-16, 9-11 SCAC) and the Pirates (10-18, 8-11 SCAC) will conclude on Saturday with a single game at 1 p.m.

Centenary has won a season-high three games in a row and improved to 4-5 on the road while Southwestern fell to 8-10 at home and has lost seven games in a row overall. The Diamond Gents have now won six in a row against the Pirates and have dominated the recent series, winning 12 of the last 13.
