Box Score Eric Houska poured in a career-high 32 points to lead the Colorado College men's basketball team to an 89-83 victory at Texas Lutheran University on Friday night.

The Tigers improved to 10-13 overall and 9-3 in the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference. CC holds a one-game lead over the Bulldogs in the battle for second place and trails first-place Schreiner University by a half-game.

Colorado College led by 15 points with 6:21 remaining in the first half, but TLU rallied and took 55-49 lead a little less than six minutes into the second.

Ryan Young snapped a 60-60 tie with 11:13 remaining in the game and the Tigers never trailed again.

CC extended its lead to 82-74 when sophomore forward
Gabe Chavez sank a pair of free throws with 2:24 to play and Texas Lutheran never got closer than four points the rest of the way.

Freshman forward
CooXooEii Black tied his career high of 21 points first set during last Saturday's victory over Austin College.

John Hatch scored 17 points and surpassed the 400-point mark for the first time in his career. The junior forward recorded the 34th 400-point season in program history and his current total of 408 this year ranks ties for 30 on the single-season chart.

Houska also dished out four assists and his current total of 118 ranks sixth on the program's single-season list.

Zach Behr scored 32 points for the Bulldogs, who slipped to 14-9 overall and 8-4 in league play.

Sterling Holmes added 20 points, six rebounds and four assists for TLU.
