COLORADO SPRINGS, CO --Texas Lutheran Men's Soccer opened it's 2021 conference schedule with a 3-1 loss to Colorado College at Stewart Field in Colorado Springs, Colorado.
The Bulldogs are now 4-3-1 (0-1, SCAC) while the Tigers move to 7-2 (1-0, SCAC).
The Tigers got the action started early - netting a goal in the 16th minute. This is where the score would remain at halftime with the Tigers carrying a 1-0 lead. The Tigers would come out aggressive in the second half stretching their lead to 3-0. Nathan Roy (Houston/Cy-Creek) was able to tally a late goal to get the Bulldogs on the board and avoid the shutout.
The Tigers out shot the Bulldogs 14-12 and held a slight 6-5 corner kick advantage. The Tigers were physical to a fault, collecting 17 of the games 24 fouls and collecting 3 yellow cards.
