
It was straight domination for Men's Tennis taking down the Dallas Crusaders this Saturday afternoon. After nine lines of play, the Celts got their first sweep of the season taking down Dallas 9-0.
In doubles, Tyler Head and Race Haas showcased their skills on the court winning 8-1. Then in line two, Jace Ware and Carson Steele took a swift 8-2 victory, paving way for Hunter-Kemball Cook and Jeremiah Hoover to halt any Crusader momentum winning 8-0. St. Thomas took a 3-0 lead heading into singles with these victories.
To kickstart singles play, Tyler Head won his match in two sets 6-1, 6-3, taking down the top line of Dallas. Then in line two, Race Haas edged his opponent in a tiebreaker to secure the five wins needed for the team victory. From there, the Crusaders struggled to score points. Jace Ware won his match 6-1, 6-0 in line three, and Hunter Kemball Cook won 6-2, 6-2. Then closing out the day for the Celts, Carson Steele won 6-1, 6-1 and Diego Guzman won 6-1, 6-0.
