SAN ANTONIO, Texas – The McMurry University women's and men's swimming teams both lost their respective dual matches versus Trinity University and Colorado College. The War Hawks women's team fell to TU 165-55 and CC 188-41, while the men fell to Trinity, 218-10, and Colorado College, 154-40.
McMurry's best performances came in the 100-yard backstroke. In the women's race, senior
Robyn Remschel swam a time of 59.65 seconds to win by nearly four full seconds of the runner-up competitor. On the men's side, junior
Jerick Pena finished second in a clocking of 56.15 seconds.
Monica Flores was fifth for McM in the women's 500 freestyle. Flores touched in a time of 6:16.09 minutes in the grueling event.
Senior
Zandria Rodriguez also picked up a fifth in the women's 100-yard breaststroke.
The War Hawks' teams will travel to Conway, Ark., next weekend for the Hendrix College Relays on Friday (Oct. 27) and the Hendrix College Invitational on Saturday (Oct. 28).
