The Men's Tennis Team was back in action for their second match of the season. They travelled to Georgetown, Texas to take on the Southwestern Pirates. The Pirates got the best of the Celts and defeated them 9-0.
In doubles, the men competed as Juanrodrigo Lopez and Jace Ware dropped a close on in line one. Likewise, Tyler Head and Race Haas nearly squeaked out a victory in line two, but the Pirates were able to hold on.
The Celts struggled in singles as they Southwestern raced past them. Yet again, Dorian Cudina nearly pulled of a victory in closely contested match against Steven Tibbetts.
"There were windy conditions today for both teams but we still have to find ways to win" Head Coach Jack Brasington said. "Fitness and on the road factors contributed to the loss. It's been a tough start to our season but that's when it's most important to dig deep and learn from our mistakes. We look forward to 2 matches next weekend against LeTourneau and East Texas Baptist"
