Counts Joins Exclusive List as CC Rolls over Schreiner

Lizzy Counts dished out 27 assists and became the third player in program history to record 3,500 or more as Colorado College rolled to a 25-15, 25-14, 25-13 victory over Schreiner University in its first match of the day at Centenary College.

Counts joined Amy Schornack (4,400) and Larissa Enns (3,717) on the exclusive list. The senior setter also helped the Tigers record a .371 hitting percentage, its third match this season at .350 or better.

On the other side of the net, Counts and senior libero Anna Gurolnick shared the match high of 14 digs as Colorado College recorded a season-best 56 digs in a three-set match.

The end result was a -.011 hitting percentage for the Mountaineers, the lowest buy a CC opponent this season.

Meaghan Hohman recorded a match-high 10 kills on 19 attempts with only two errors. The freshman outside hitter finished with a .421 hitting percentage.

Senior outside hitter Haley Harris led the Tigers with .750 percentage, putting down six kills on eight swings without an error.

CC hit .448 as a team in the second set when it snapped a 2-2 tie with a 10-2 surge.

Schreiner jumped out to a 4-1 lead in the third set and held a 7-6 lead. From that point on, the Colorado College outscored the Mountaineers 19-8 to close out the match.

Colorado College Standouts
Jordan Mullen hit .500 with seven kills on 12 attempts with just one error.
Junior middle hitter Emma Hewlin produced eight kills and a pair of blocks.

Schreiner University Standouts
Jacquelyn Sotello led the Mountaineers with seven kills.
Giselle Flores produced a team-high 13 digs and a match-high four service aces.

Next for the Tigers
