Box Score Tournament Most Valuable Player Liz Rehberger proved too much for Colorado College to handle as she helped lead North Park University to a commanding 63-43 victory in the final game of the Pikes Peak Holiday Classic on Friday evening in Reid Arena.

Rehberger finished with a game-high 21 points and added four assists and four steals for the Vikings. The senior guard combined for 48 points during the tournament on 19-of-54 shooting for a 35.2 field-goal percentage.

The game was tied at 9-9 when sophomore guard
Payton Katich made a pair of free-throw shots with 3:53 remaining in the opening quarter, but North Park used a 6-0 run to take a 15-9 lead after 10 minutes of action.

The Vikings built a 39-28 lead after junior forward Clarissa Ramos hit a layup with 6:16 left in the third quarter; however, junior forward
Nina Holley drained a layup which sparked a 6-0 run to close to within 39-34 with 2:19 remaining.

That proved to be as close as the Tigers would get as senior guard Amani Davis made a layup to help North Park close out the quarter on a 5-0 run.

Colorado College (2-10) was led by Katich with 12 points, while sophomore guard
Casey Torbet added 10 points and five rebounds. Freshman guard
Nia Duplain, who was an all-tournament team selection, led the team on the boards with six rebounds.

North Park (8-4) built a 44-35 advantage on the glass, which included 20 offensive rebounds that resulted in 20 second-chance points.
Davis led the Vikings with seven rebounds, six of which were at the offensive end.

The Tigers return to action on Friday, Jan. 6, when they play host to Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference rival Texas Lutheran University at 5:30 p.m.Â
