Baseball got back on track taking a game against the Centenary Gents this Saturday afternoon. After eighteen hard-fought innings in a SCAC doubleheader, the Celts split with the Gents with one win each. 

Game 1: UST 5 CEN 3

Centenary was first to strike with one run in the first inning off an error. However, the Celts answered and tied the game up with a Jason Brown RBI single. From there, Centenary got their lead back quickly with one run in the second to take a 2-1 lead. Three shutout innings followed until the Celts strung together three hits that led to three runs as Dylan Lamb, Kyle Bearden, and Cameron McClure all scored. With the score now 4-2, Centenary tried to keep pace and scored a run in the follow inning, however, that would be all they would get. Mason Seay scored off a balk to give St. Thomas insurance for the 5-3 victory. 

On the mound, Chris Parsons went the distance and played all nine innings. This is Parsons' second complete game as a Celt as he allowed just six hits and notched three strikeouts. 

Game 2: UST 5 CEN 9

Game two was a hit parade for both teams as they combined for 26 total. However, Centenary got on the board in the first inning and forced St. Thomas to play from behind the whole game. With the score 2-0 in the fourth inning, the Celts finally were able to cut the deficit in half as Dillon McKee brought home Leo Galvan. Then in the home half of the fourth, Centenary was able to generate three runs to make their lead even further as St. Thomas was now in a 5-1 hole. From there, the Gents only added to their lead as the Celts struggled to close the gap. When the dust settled it ended with Centenary winning game two 9-5.
