Shreveport - The Centenary women's soccer team was blanked by the Belhaven Blazers, 3-0, on Friday evening in a non-conference match at Mayo Field.
The Ladies (2-3) will wrap up the weekend with a match against UT Dallas (5-1) on Sunday at 3 p.m. The Comets defeated Shreiner 5-0 earlier in the day on Friday. Belhaven improved to 3-1 with the win and will face Schreiner (0-6) on Saturday at 2:30 p.m.

The match was scoreless at halftime but then the Blazers found their offense and scored a trio of goals, two coming from midfielder Anna Crane. Laela Evans added the other goal and Kyla Shaw and Abby Linn tallied assists. The Ladies played a pair of goalkeepers in the match, as senior Avery Sanderson (McKinney, Texas) started and played 80:39, allowing on goal and making two saves. Freshman Madison Ersoff (Shreveport) relieved Sanderson in the second half and played 9:21 and allowed a pair of goals. Belhaven keeper JUlianna Wilson went the distance, pitching the shutout to improve to 2-0 and collected three saves.
The Blazers took 11 shots to the Ladies' seven, with five shots on goal. The Ladies had three shots on goal and the teams combined for six corner kicks, with the Ladies taking four. The game featured 19 fouls and six yellow cards. Centenary entered the match having allowed one goal or less in 14 of its last 16 matches over the last two seasons as the three goals allowed was very uncharacteristic for the Ladies.
