Baseball Completes Series Sweep Over Pirates With Saturday Win
The Centenary baseball team completed a three-game sweep over the Southwestern University Pirates in Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference play on Saturday with an 8-7 win at Rockwell Family Field.

Georgetown, Texas – The Centenary baseball team completed a three-game sweep over the Southwestern University Pirates in Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference play on Saturday with an 8-7 win at Rockwell Family Field.
The Diamond Gents (14-16, 10-11 SCAC) swept a doubleheader on Friday over the Pirates (10-19, 8-12 SCAC), winning game one by a score of 5-4 in 10 innings and 9-6 in game two.
Centenary has won a season-high four games in a row and improved to 5-5 on the road while Southwestern fell to 8-11 at home and has lost eight games in a row overall. The Diamond Gents have now won seven in a row against the Pirates and have dominated the recent series, winning 13 of the last 14.
