TLU Volleyball splits pair of matches at SCAC Crossover in Kerrville

KERRVILLE, Texas -- Texas Lutheran Women's Volleyball split a pair of Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference matches Saturday at the SCAC Crossover, hosted by Schreiner University.
 
The Bulldogs' conference record now stands at 3-4 with an overall mark of 10-10.
 
TLU lost in five sets to Centenary in the Bulldogs' first match of the day. The Ladies won 19-25, 25-19, 25-19, 25-22, 18-16.
 
Bryten Mitchan and Savhannah Kitchens each had 15 kills in the loss. Paige Day served five aces.
 
Kelly Jurden and Jaci Chambers dished out 25 and 20 assists, respectively, and Lexi Morris recorded 39 digs. Madison Weisinger picked up seven total blocks (two solo blocks, five block assists).
 
In the win over Dallas, Mitchan posted 17 kills. Adrienne Galaviz and Jaci Chambers delivered 20 and 19 assists, respectively, and Morris added 23 digs.
 
Kelsi Menn contributed seven kills and six total blocks, and Day served three aces.
 
TLU faces Colorado College at 2 p.m. Sunday at the SCAC Crossover. The Bulldogs close the tournament with a 6 p.m. match against Schreiner.
