Trinity Men Advance to Championship Game With 64-48 Victory Over Colorado College

The Tigers went on a 23-4 run to close out the first half to blow open a tight game and never looked back.

Zach Lambert led the way for Trinity with 19 points, nailing a perfect 4-of-4 from three-point range, and Robert Kitzinger had 12 points and eight rebounds.

Trinity, one of the top defensive teams in the nation, held Colorado College to 28.6 percent shooting (16-56) from the field.

Colorado College (17-8) was paced by Ryan Milne, who closed out his stellar career with 17 points, six rebounds, four assists and four steals. Forward Chris Lesnansky had 10 points and seven rebounds.

Milne set personal single-season highs with 480 points and 49 steals, which put him in fifth place on the program’s all-time list in both statistical categories.

Trinity (18-9) will be playing for their third consecutive SCAC title and will take on the winner of Centenary College and Schriener University Sunday at Noon CT.
