Schreiner Uses Lock-Down Defense to Take 67-47 Quarterfinal Victory Over Austin College

SAN ANTONIO, Texas

The Mountaineers improved to 15-11, and will face #2 seed Centenary College in the SCAC Semifinals tomorrow afternoon at 3:00 p.m.  Centenary earned a narrow 74-71 win over seven seed Southwestern University earlier this evening.

Schreiner pulled out to a 10-point lead by halftime, then extended that even further with a strong 44.8% shooting performance in the final period.  The Mountaineer defense also played well, holding the 'Roos to 28.8% shooting in the game.

A.J. Myres led Schreiner with 15 points on 5-of-9 shooting, while Maverick Harris added 10.  Hollis Robinsion secured eight rebounds - six on the offensive end - to lead the team as well.

Austin was led by 12 points from Alan Sullivan, and 10 bpoints off the bench from Jordan Hancock.
