SCAC Women's Cross Country Recap - Week Six

LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. - Six SCAC women's cross country teams were back in action this weekend.

Trinity University, Texas Lutheran University and Schreiner University all competed at the University of the Incarnate Word Invitational. Trinity took third and was lead by first-year Mabel Fowler who took 12th place. Texas Lutheran took fifth place as a team and was lead by freshman Felicia Ortiz. Schreiner University finished sixth of the six teams.

Austin College and Southwestern University competed at the East Texas Baptist Invitational. The 'Roos took fourth place as a team out of nine teams. Sophomore Eden Llamas took second placed out of 58 individuals when she crossed the finish line in 23:44.37. Junior Hannah Richards not far behind, taking fourth placed with her time of 24:01.58. Southwestern placed sixth and was led by freshman Sofia Garcia, who led the Pirates with a seventh-place individual finish, good for a time of 24:45.8 and an average mile time of 6:39.4 over the 6K course.

Colorado College traveled to Fort Hays in compete in the Fort Hays State Tiger Open. The Tigers took seventh out of 20 teams and were lead by junior Leah Veldhuisen who finished the 5K race in 19:57.5 at 34th place.
