TAYLER MALLOY
OF TRINITY UNIVERSITY, a sophomore right side from
Allen, Texas, has been named SCAC Volleyball Player-of-the-Week for
matches played from Monday, September 6 through Sunday, October
12.
Malloy led Trinity to a 4-1 record last week,
including a 3-0 mark in Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference
play. Trinity's only loss came to Birmingham-Southern, a team
still in transition to Division III that has also beaten
second-ranked Emory this season.
Malloy finished with 48 kills (2.82/game) from her RS position, recording a stellar .448 hitting percentage in the five matches. Malloy made just five errors in her 96 attempts, and also tied for second on the team with 12 total blocks (0.71/game) last week.
