Georgia Mullins, Colorado College , Defensive Player of the Week (Week 6)

GEORGIA MULLINS OF COLORADO COLLEGE, a sophomore middle hitter from Olathe, Kansas, has been named SCAC Volleyball Defensive Player-of-the-Week for matches played from Monday, September 30 through Sunday, October 6.

Mullins was a force on both sides of the net, posting 11 total blocks while adding 16 total digs. In the weekend finale against Texas Lutheran, Mullins recorded a career-high 10 digs and had a hand in four blocked shots. Mullins helped CC hold its five opponents to a combined .087 attack percentage last week. On the offensive side of the net, Mullins hit .402 while averaging 2.86 kills per set. 

Other impressive performances in the SCAC: 
Sophomore Ali Grona of Southwestern set a career-high with 37 digs against St. Thomas, totaling 112 digs over the weekend for an average of 6.22 digs per set. Junior Annie Rose Leggett of Trinity began the cross-divisional with a weekend-best 16 digs, then finished with two double-doubles on Sunday. Junior Kaylyn Latin of St. Thomas had 39 assists to lead the defensive effort in a five-set win over Southwestern. Latin finished the week averaging 6.5 digs per set. Freshman Lexi Morris of Texas Lutheran registered a career-high 39 digs in a five-set match against Centenary and averaged 6.32 digs per set over five conference matches. Sophomore Mari Prazak of Austin totaling 84 digs, including 69 in four matches, while also surpassing 1,000 digs in her career. Prazak averaged 4.67 digs-per-set and added 23 assists in five matches.
