
MAGGIE EMODI
OF TRINITY UNIVERSITY, a first-year outside
hitter/middle blocker from Omaha, Neb. has been named SCAC
Volleyball Offensive Player-of-the-Week for matches played from
Monday, October 17 through Sunday, October 23.
Emodi led the Trinity Tigers to a 2-1 record at
the SCAC West Divisional #2 over the weekend, finishing off the
team’s regular season SCAC schedule. Emodi
hit a blistering .370 (41-7-92) for the weekend, averaging 3.15
kills/set in the three matches.
She also had 10 total blocks (0.77/set) to go with four service
aces and 14 digs. She hit .643 (9-0-14) to open the weekend against
Dallas, then posted 14 kills in the win over Austin.
Against seventh-ranked Southwestern, Emodi led
the team with 18 kills, and hit just under .300 for the Tigers.
