Co-reglular season champions Colorado College and Trinity University both enter the tournament nationally ranked (fourth and 10th respectively) and with a 15-1 conference mark. Colorado College earned the tiebreaker over Trinity for the No. 1 seed by virtue of a better set differential (total) in the two games the two played against the third-seeded team, Southwestern University.
