Alyssa Hanley Named Schreiner Head Volleyball Coach

KERRVILLE, Texas -- Alyssa Hanley has been named the new Head Coach for Schreiner University Women’s Volleyball after serving as the Assistant Volleyball Coach at Missouri Southern State University.

During her time as Assistant Coach at MSSU, Hanley helped produce 5 MIAA Academic Honor Roll selections, 1 All-MIAA Honorable Mention selection and helped triple the teams win output from the previous season.

A native of Denton, Texas, Hanley was a prep standout at Guyer High School where she led her team to a 28-12 record and a district championship during her junior and senior season. After graduating from Guyer, Hanley went on to play at the University of Louisiana-Lafayette and finished her college career at West Texas A&M.

Hanley graduated from West Texas A&M in 2013 with a degree in mass communications and from Concord University in May 2016 with a masters in health promotion.

"We are extremely excited to have Alyssa join our team," said Dean of Students, Dr. Charles Hueber. "Her work ethic and attention to detail are two qualities that I believe will have positive impact on her win/loss record throughout her career, but it is her concern for students on and off the court that impressed me the most during her interview."
