Tigers, Pirates Advance to Finals in Day One of SCAC Volleyball Tournament

SHREVEPORT, La. - The finals are set for the 2016 SCAC Volleyball Tournament as the top two seeds, Trinity University and Southwestern University, are set to square off for the conference title. Official Tournament Website

Top-seeded Trinity defeated Austin College, 3-0, while second-seeded Southwestern hung on for a 3-2 victory over Colorado College.

This will mark the eighth time in conference history that Trinity and Southwestern have met for the SCAC volleyball title. Trinity holds a 4-3 advantage in the previous seven meetings but Southwestern won the most recent match-up, a 3-1 victory at last year's conference tournament final.
