BRENNA IANNELLI OF TEXAS LUTHERAN UNIVERSITY, a sophomore from Brenham, Texas, has been selected the SCAC Women’s Track Athlete of the Week for meets held from Monday, April 11 through Sunday, April 17. (SCAC Track & Field Weekly Release - Week 7)
Iannelli ran the 400 hurdles for this first time this season to finish fifth overall in the Division 1 hosted Texas State University Charles Austin meet. Her time of 1:08.84 is a PR by over five seconds, and ranks her third in the SCAC this season. She also ran second leg of the team's second place 4x400 relay at the meet.
Other outstanding performances in the SCAC:
Junior Sydney Bascomb of Centenary had the Ladies' top individual finish at the 2022 Little Rock Twilight last Friday as she placed 10th in the women's 100 meters with a season-best time of 13.04. She now has four top-25 individual finishes this season. First-year Jocelyn Olivarez of St. Thomas ran a new personal-best of 2:28 in the 800 meters this past weekend at the Earl Miner Invitational.
