KIERRA FRANCOIS OF TRINITY UNIVERSITY, a junior from Pearland, Texas, has been selected the SCAC Women’s Field Athlete of the Week for meets held from Monday, March 14 through Sunday, March 20. (SCAC Track & Field Weekly Release - Week 3)
Francois was the only non D1/2 thrower to make the finals in the hammer throw at the Wes Kittley Invitational. Her mark of 41.19m placed ninth. She also set a new personal best in the discus throw with a mark of 38.01, which was good for 13th place. In the javelin, she placed 19th with a throw of 26.73m.
With these marks, Francois currently ranks first in the conference in the hammer and second in the discus.
