AVERY PUIG OF TRINITY UNIVERSITY, a sophomore from Laredo, Texas, has been selected the SCAC Women’s Track Athlete of the Week for meets held from Monday, March 15 through Sunday, March 21.
Avery recorded the top times in the SCAC this weekend at the Abilene Christian Invitational in both the 100 hurdles (15.52) and 100 meter dash (12.57).
Other outstanding performances in the SCAC:
Sophomore Claire Quinn of Colorado College ran a 19:31.22 for the 5k at the CSU Pueblo Early Bird this past weekend. Her attitude converted time of 19:01.34 ranks third in the SCAC and 22nd in NCAA Division III. First-year Grace Ebberwein of Dallas, competing against an all NCAA Division I field, placed second wihle setting a 20 second PR with a time of 21:04.59 in the 1500 meters at the TSU relays this past Saturday.
