HOW IT HAPPENED

  • After claiming four individual titles on Friday, Trinity came back on Saturday and took top honors in the 5,000 meter run (Emma MacEachern, 18:49.20), 100 meters (Nkolika Nweke, 12.12), 400 meters (Andy Garza, 58.92), as well as the 4x100 relay (47.93).
  • The Tigers also claimed top honors in the 100 and 400 meter hurdles, with Abigail Schneebeck taking gold in both. Her time of 1:02.56 in the 400 meter event is third-best in SCAC meet history.
  • Texas Lutheran's Ashley Rynard earned SCAC Women's Track & Field Athlete of the Meet honors by winning the 800 meter run (2:16.28) and the 1500 meter run (4:40.84), she also took second place in the 400 meter dash (59.10).
  • Texas Lutheran student-athletes also earned top honors in the 200 meters (Ashley Myers, 25.45), discus (Hannah Kipp, 133' 4", second best in SCAC meet history) and the long jump (Cortnee Priour, 18' 0 1/4")
  • Colorado College took one individual gold on Saturday as Camille Weaver won the high jump (5' 1 3/4"). The Tigers also earned the program's second-ever relay win in SCAC championship competition - a victory in the 4x400 in a time of 3:54.40. This time is three seconds faster than the previous SCAC meet record, which has held since the 2003 championship. 
  • Southwestern earned one individual title in the women's javelin as Morgan Gilpin took gold with a throw of 105'.
