HOW IT HAPPENED

  • Trinity claimed the SCAC title in the 10,000 meter run (Haley McFadden, 37:57.87), 3000 meter steeplechase (Molly McCullough, 12:09.05), the pole vault (Mia Loseff, 10' 5 1/4") and the triple jump (Britney Sullivan, 38' 9").
  • Sullivan's triple jump set a new SCAC record in the event, breaking the previous mark of 38' 3 1/4" set last year by Ayriel Coleman of Trinity.
  • Both McCullough and Loseff earned a third straight title in their respective events.
  • Texas Lutheran's Dejah Carr won the hammer throw with a mark of 143' 4", marking the third straight year that a Bulldog has won the event.
  • Dianna Hassink of the University of Dallas won the shot put with a toss of 40' 2 3/4", marking the first time a UD woman has won an event at the SCAC championship since they joined the league.

  • Competition resumes tomorrow with the women's 5000-meter final at 8:30 a.m. Field events begin at 9 a.m. with the women’s discus and high jump trials and finals as well as trials and finals in the men’s long jump and javelin. A complete schedule of events can be found here.
