
ALLI ZIEHM OF SOUTHWESTERN UNIVERSITY, a sophomore from Little Elm, Texcas, has been selected the SCAC Women’s Tennis Player of the Week for matches played from Monday, March 1 to Sunday, March 7.
Ziehm picked up a big three-set win over NCAA Division I Tarleton State's Hadley Jones (1-6, 6-3, 6-4) in No. 6 singles, and a pair of wins in No. 2 singles against Texas Lutheran's Kaitlyn Enloe (6-1, 6-0) and Howard Payne University's Zoe Sprayberry (6-0, 6-2) for a 3-0 week.
Other Outstanding Performances in the SCAC:
Sophomore Victoria Morales of Schreiner went 2-0 at No. 2 singles for the weekend, posting a 7-5, 4-6, 1-0(5) over ETBU and a 6-1, 6-1 over LETU. Senior Zoe Kaffen of Trinity scored a 6-3, 6-3 victory playing line one singles against NCAA II Texas A&M-Kingsville in the Tigers' first home match of the season. Sophomore Anamaria Gonzalez of St. Thomas posted a victory at No. 1 singles over Texas Lutheran's Mary Ely, 6-0, 6-0.
