SCAC Women's Tennis Recap - Week Seven

LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. - All six Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference women's tennis teams competed last week, posting a combined record of 13-11.

Colorado College had a lot of success during their Florida trip, posting a 3-0 record. The Tigers earned a win over#36 Hope College, 5-4, along with Dickinson (9-0) and Babson (6-3).

No. 18 Trinity University also earned a pair of nationally-ranked wins, defeating #24 Linfield and #27 Whitman. The Tigers dropped matches to three teams ranked in the nation's top-15, including a close match against #7 Bowdoin, where TU fell 5-4.

Texas Lutheran University went 2-1 for the week, defeaing Louisiana College and LSU-Shreveport, but falling to LeTourneau University. Austin College also picked up a pair of wins, going 2-2 last week. The 'Roos took down George Fox, 5-4, and Pacific (Ore.), 9-0, but fell to #24 Linfield and #33 Lewis & Clark.

No. 23 Southwestern University had a tough weekend, facing two top-10 teams, #9 Wesleyan and #2 Williams. The Pirates weren't able to take down either of those teams, but did earn a win over Cal Lutheran.

Schreiner University went 2-3 in Orlando during a spring break trip and followed that with a win over Louisiana College to close out the week. During the trip, the Mountaineers defeated Shippensburg University, 8-1 and Northwestern (Minn.), 7-2. Their losses came to Dickinson, Haverford and Wisconsin-La Crosse.
