COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. -- In a match that lasted almost five hours, Texas Lutheran University pulled out a 5-4 victory over Schreiner University to take fifth-place match at the 2018 SCAC Women's Tennis Championship. Official Website l Bracket l Postmatch Interview
With the match tied at 4-4, senior Joni Baxley won in a third-set tiebreaker at No. 6 singles, 6-3, 1-6, 7-6 (7-2), to clinch the victory. Baxley, who was down 4-1 in the third, fought off one match point at 6-5 to earn the come-from-behind win.
TLU finishes its season with an 11-9 mark while Schriener closes with a 10-10 overall record.
