Trinity Women's Tennis Holds at No. 24 in the ITA Rankings

SKILLMAN, N.J. – The Trinity University women's tennis team held onto the No. 24 ranking in the latest Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) rankings.

Trinity currently holds a 11-8 record this spring in NCAA competition, with a 10-6 record against Division III competition, and 5-6 against nationally-ranked DIII teams.

The Tigers are also ranked fifth regionally, highlighting the four SCAC teams to earn a spot on the list. Southwestern University comes in at 11th in the West, while Colorado College is 15th and Texas Lutheran is 20th.

TLU's Sofia Vega leads four SCAC players ranked in singles in eighth. Right behind her is Trinity's Marie Lutz, followed by Taite Drews Jones of Southwestern in 12th. Trinity's Caroline Kutach is No. 23.

In doubles competitions, the duo of Lutz and Liza Southwick is ranked fourth in the region, while Vega and teammate Alli McClain jumped into the rankings, tying with a pair from California Lutheran University for No. 15 in the region.
