JADYN TRAHAN OF TRINITY UNIVERSITY, a senior from League City, Texas, has been selected the SCAC Women’s Swimmer of the Week for performances during meets swam Monday, November 1 to Sunday, November 7. SCAC Swimming & Diving Release (Week 4)
Trahan, while competing at the D3 Shootout last weekend, set an individual record for Trinity in the 100-yard breaststroke, hitting the win in a time of 1:05.13. She also swan a leg on the 200-yard medley relay quartet that set a record with a time of 1:45.83. Trahan posted an impressive 57.12 split in that relay.
Other Outstanding Performances in the SCAC:
Sophomore Sammi Thiele of Austin College won two races in the ‘Roos’ dual meet against Southwestern last weekend, winning the 100-yard breaststroke in a time of 1:09.39 and set a new school record in the 400-IM with a winning time of 4:46.79. Thiele also finished second in the 50-yard freestyle with a swim of 25.86. Sophomore Annie Bowens of Colorado College picked up four win in the Tigers’ two dual meet victories over Trinity last weekend. Individually, Bowens won the 50-yard free on both days with times of 25.68 and 25.97 and swam the breaststroke leg on both the 200 and 400-yard medley relay teams with splits of 32.29 and 1:13.62.
