KATIE GORKA OF MCMURRY UNIVERSITY, a senior from Richmond, Texas, has been selected the SCAC Women's Swimmer of the Week for all meets through Sunday, December 3rd.
In the Warhawks last home meet of the year, Gorka had a strong showing, winning both of her events in a dual against Austin College.
Gorka took the top spot in the 1000 freestyle, posting a time of 12:08.53. This is more than seven seconds faster than her previous best.
Gorka also won the 500 free with a mark of 5:58.85.
